Manual
This page explains the core aorisage controls and operating model.

Install
Installers are distributed through GitHub Releases.
- Open GitHub Releases.
- Download the installer for your OS.
- Run the installer.
- Rescan plug-ins in your DAW.
- Insert aorisage on the BGM track.
The files published on GitHub Releases are the source of truth. This site does not host the installer files.
State flow
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BGM On | Outputs the normal BGM Level |
| Boosting | Moves from BGM Level to Boost Level |
| Holding | Keeps Boost Level |
| Fading Out | Moves to End Level |
| Fade Out Complete | Fade out has completed |
| Returning | Moves from End Level back to BGM Level |
The main button, shortcut key, or Main Trigger performs the main action.
Levels
| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BGM Level | Normal BGM output level |
| Boost Level | Output level while lifting the room |
| End Level | Output level after Fade Out, either Mute or a dB value |
Boost Level is absolute, not relative to BGM Level. If BGM Level is -20 dB and Boost Level is -15 dB, the boosted output target is -15 dB.
Timing
| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Boost Time | Time from BGM Level to Boost Level |
| Hold Time | Time to hold Boost Level in Auto Hold |
| Fade Out Time | Time to move to End Level |
| Return Time | Time to move back to BGM Level |
Manual Hold does not use a hidden Hold Time countdown. It stays held until the next main action.
Fade Curves
Fade In Curve, Fade Out Curve, and Return Curve control the feel of each gain move.
| Curve | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A | Slow start, faster later |
| B | Even-feeling linear movement |
| C | Fast start, gentler later |
For pre-show fade outs, Curve C often makes the start of the fade clear while keeping the tail natural.
Hold Mode
Auto advances from Hold to Fade Out after Hold Time. Manual holds the Boost Level until the next main action.
Use Manual when the cue depends on the room or the stage. Use Auto when the timing is fixed.
Preferences

Preferences controls display and local operation.
| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| UI Scale | Changes the plug-in window scale |
| Shortcut Key | Sets the keyboard shortcut for the main action |
Shortcut Key works when the host DAW passes keyboard input to the plug-in editor.
MIDI / automation
Use Main Trigger when operating aorisage from the DAW.
| Parameter | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Main Trigger | Performs the same main action as the main button |
| Current Setting | Selects the active Setting |
| BGM Level / Boost Level / End Level | Automates level targets |
| Hold Mode | Switches Auto / Manual |
Main Trigger fires when its value moves from low to high. To use MIDI Note / CC, route or map it to Main Trigger using your DAW MIDI remote system, MIDI Learn, or a MIDI conversion tool.
Sustain pedal example
- Set Hold Mode to Manual.
- Map sustain pedal CC 64 to Main Trigger.
- Press the pedal to start Boost / Hold.
- If your DAW can send a main action on release, release the pedal to start Fade Out.
If your DAW only triggers on pedal press, use a second press, another Note, or a keyboard shortcut to start Fade Out.
Multichannel use
aorisage is designed to apply the same gain intent across mono, stereo, and multichannel layouts. It does not perform spatial decoding or creative downmixing.
Troubleshooting
The boost is too loud
Lower Boost Level. aorisage can use values above 0 dB, so also check downstream processing and meters.
Fade Out starts too early
Use Manual Hold or increase Hold Time. In Auto mode, check the combined Boost Time and Hold Time.
Shortcut Key does not work
The host may not be passing keyboard input to the plug-in editor. Focus the plug-in window, try another shortcut, or use Main Trigger.
MIDI pedal behavior is wrong
Check what the DAW receives from the pedal: press event only, held high CC value, release event, or a combination. The correct mapping depends on that behavior.
